Tragically, on Tuesday, flash floods caused by heavy rains in Mandai town, Himachal Pradesh, killed three persons and injured numerous more. Nearly two dozen houses have been partially destroyed in the ensuing landslides, and one woman has been reported missing. In Mundi, the flash flood damaged about 20 automobiles that were washed away along with dirt, holes, and floodwaters in the Landi Bridge, Jail Road, and Victoria Bridge sectors. According to accounts, multiple automobiles were crushed by a significant flash flood that occurred above the Dham Pur superintendent engineers office and the public work department division office. The National Highways Authority of India has been informed that a landslide has blocked the route close to Lawandi Bridge. Furthermore, NH21 along the Mandikuluroad has been closed at multiple locations, including the 4 mile, 9 mile, and Dara, totally stopping traffic flow. Evidently, the rainstorm was so strong that the rushing water in the Sukkati drains that flowed through the city carried large amounts of debris, which penetrated multiple areas within a 5-kilometer radius.
